What is ours,
and what is Tedooo's

Tedooo draws it

The design comes back from Tedooo's design technology, the same engine behind every made-to-order piece on the marketplace.

We build it

Every portrait is sculpted in glass, layered on linen and framed, and the design is checked against your photograph before the first piece of glass is cut.

The photograph stays yours

It is used to draw your piece and nothing else: not resold, not published, not used to train anything. It is deleted when the order closes.

The questions
people ask

If yours is not here, write to us. A person answers, usually within the day, and usually with more detail than you wanted.

What makes a good photo to send?

One subject, or two close together, roughly facing the camera, with their eyes visible. Daylight helps. It does not need to be sharp; most of what we build from is a phone photo of a dog on a sofa. What we cannot work from is a subject facing away, or a whole crowd in one frame.

What is it made of?

Tedooo's design technology draws it from your photo, and you approve it before anything happens. Then it is built: sculpted in real glass, each piece cut and placed by hand and layered into dimensional relief on a natural linen ground, so the face stands off the cloth and the layered glass catches the light. It is finished in a walnut shadow-box frame, deep enough to hold the relief.

Which size should I pick?

It comes 30 × 30 or 50 × 50 cm. The 30 suits a hallway, a shelf or the wall by the stairs; the 50 holds its own above a sofa or a sideboard.

Can I add a name?

Yes. Type up to 20 characters under your photo, a name or two or a short line, and it is worked into the design beneath the portrait. If it comes back with something you did not ask for, change it and draw it again. It stays free until you approve one.

Can I send it as a gift?

Yes, and most of what we make leaves as one. Put their address at checkout and it goes straight to them. For Christmas, order by 19 November.

How do I look after it?

Dust it with a soft dry brush or a cold hairdryer: the glass will not fade, but it is layered, so no cloths dragged across the surface. Keep it out of hours of strong direct sun, which yellows the linen in time.
